Our Travels - 2021

We enjoyed doing pet-sitting and travelling back to Caloundra to do our Coastguard duties, however with lockdowns in place, pet-sitting assignments slowed down.

Finding anywhere to rent was virtually impossible so we made the decision to purchase another boat to liveaboard in Queensland.

We found a suitable boat, a Carver 43 motor cruiser in Newcastle, NSW, purchased it and cruised it along the coast, stopping along the way in various ports until we reached Queensland.

We spent some time aboard “Compass Gypsea” on the Gold Coast before cruising up to The Great Sandy Straits and enjoying time with family and friends on and around Fraser Island, before cruising back to Caloundra and anchoring in Pumicestone Passage.
